The last time I bought marrow bones for the dogs, my local butcher went into his walk-in freezer and came out with the entire leg of a cow. He was carrying the hulking mass—from hip joint to ankle—like a baby. I was at once sickened and awe struck. It's not every day that you see the inside of a body like that.
He then proceeded to cut it up and I fed the pieces to my dogs.
I, myself, haven't eaten meat in many months.
