I moved Brenda’s crate from the living room into my bedroom to help put a stop to Brenda’s morning escape under the bed. She has taken to crawling under there when I need to take her out. I can’t extract her once she is embedded. Last time this happened, I closed the bedroom door, sent Belisa a text message and asked her to come over that afternoon to try to get her to come out. By the time Belisa came, Brenda had extracted herself and they were able to go for a walk.
This morning, I was able to get Brenda out for her morning walk, but as soon as we came home, and before I could get her out of her jacket, she ran underneath the bed. Ben was moving the car (alternate side parking) and I had to get to my first client so I shuttled Porter and Sadie out of the bedroom, closed the door, called Ben to see if he needed any essentials from the room (he needed a Tshirt and underwear) and sent Belisa an email asking if she could come over later because Brenda had not pooped on her morning walk.
Belisa was stuck at work and couldn’t come so all I could do was hope that Brenda wouldn’t poop and/pee on my bed, because I knew that if she was in my bedroom all day, she’d be on my bed. When I finally got home at around 4:30, Brenda was, indeed, on my bed but she had NOT had an accident. It’s now 5:30, though, and she has not even come over to greet me yet. I think she’s depressed.
