Sally, Brendas’ swim therapist had a dream a few weeks ago with Brenda in it. They were running together on a beach when Brenda looked up at her and said “thank you for making me feel so safe.”
The next time I picked Brenda up from her lesson, Sally was feeding her treats through her muzzle with much success. Brenda even took them from her in my presence. Feeling like she had made considerable leeway with Brenda, Sally decided to put on her jacket. She bent over her and just when she was about to snap the jacket on, Brenda attacked her. She had a muzzle on so she couldn’t do any damage, but it startled both of us, because it really seemed to come out of nowhere.
I wonder how Brenda would have behaved had I not been in the room.
