For weeks, my day started out like this: After a few slaps of the snooze button I’d stumble out of bed, open a can of tuna, crack a few pills filled with Prozac and blend the two. Then I’d put the concoction in Brenda’s crate and watch her scarf it down. The only way she’d take her medicine.
She has now been successfully weaned from Prozac because the desired affect wasn’t achieved. What a pain, but it’s frighteningly easy to get your hands on prescription drugs. Send a few e-mails; they show up in your mailbox. It really is that easy.
The plan now is to switch her to Buspar. Brenda’s vet isn’t comfortable prescribing it, because she isn't versed on behavior, so we’re taking matters into our own hands. I’ve been promised the pills by the end of the week. Gotta love our society's need for drugs.
