Off Leash in Neighborhood

There’s a phenomenon in Chelsea: People walking their dogs offleash as if it’s the ultimate display of an obedient dog. What I find so funny is that these offleash dogs are never in a proper heel. They’re smelling hydrants fifty feet away from their owners or running up to other dogs and people in the street.

To me it’s dangerous and irresponsible considering the maniacs behind the wheel in NYC as well as the unpredictable rescued dogs around. It’s very stressful to see offleash dogs when I’m walking Brenda. It’s all I can do to keep her calm walking past another dog that is leashed and under the control of a person.
