Ben and I just got back from spending six days in Oregon with my family. While we were gone all three dogs acted out in their own ways. The funniest, but perhaps most pathetic, antics were committed by Porter. Belisa stayed with all three pups and reported that Porter peed on the microwave, chased his tail incessantly and sat and stared at her for minutes on end.
It didn't help that NYC was freezing most of the days she was with them, making walking outside close to nightmarish. Luckily, our dog walker Joe came for them twice a day! Joe worked at their daycare until it was forced to close down after losing its lease at the end of December.
We were never able to have a dog walker before because of Sadie's resistance to men walking into our apartment. She knows and loves Joe, though, even if it did take her a year of attending daycare before she'd give him a kiss. But, once that bond was made nothing's going to break it.
